About Cassie

I’m Cassie, founder of Wanderlustria. Since 2012, I’ve been integrating travel into my life in whatever ways I can. Sometimes it’s US based and sometimes its international exploration, but always been about soaking up every bit of adventure by finding unique experiences. Especially in the beginning, it was overwhelming to know where to begin. I want to help you learn from my steep learning curve and create the life you’ve always wanted!

In 2012, I was eager to start traveling. At 21, I had virtually no international or solo travel experience. All I knew was that I was desperate to see the outside world. It was becoming clear that if I continued to wait for the “right time” or for someone to join me, I’d be running the risk that I’d never do it at all. That doesn’t mean everyone has to start traveling in their young 20s. Some people start sooner and some people start later. There really is no “one size fits all”, but it took a long time for me to learn what worked for me.

Eventually, I signed up for an international volunteer group to work abroad for two weeks on impulse. The weeks were short, but they opened the gate for me to make incredible lifelong friends and increased my confidence to eventually travel independently- eventually going so far as to move abroad to multiple different continents.

As the decade has gone by, I’ve realized that my favorite aspect of travel is the people you meet along the way. Its closely interconnected to the thrill of adventure that can be found in any destination, leading me to seek new experiences no matter what destination I’m living in. Trying new foods and making new friends can be akin to free diving through archaeologically preserved caves and rock climbing in the deep wilderness, and I’d love to help you experience it all.

I understood for a long time that a cookie-cutter life was not meant for me, but I struggled to understand what that meant for me.
I’ve had years to learn what works for me and what works for others. No matter what kind of change you’d like to make, I want to help you build a life you do not need to escape from.

I firmly believe that life can be lived in many different ways, but we don’t always know what we want until we try it. Embracing new experiences is a huge part of travel, but it is also something that can be easily attained in your hometown.

Allowing yourself the room to be able to grow, change, and find new interests and common ground with strangers is something that will inevitably enrich your life as long as you allow it.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,
